Alfred the Great Earrings

King Alfred of Wessex, also known as Alfred the Great, defended the Kingdom of Wessex against invaders like the Great Viking Army. Alfred was a learned man for his day and something of a Renaissance man long before there was a Renaissance. He worked to improve the lives of his people and also was the first to style himself as the King of the Anglo-Saxons.
