Extinct Dodo Bird Rubber Stamp
Low stock: 1 left
The island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean once was home to the large, flightless bird named the Dodo (Raphus cucullatus). Hunted by foraging sailors and imported exotic species, the Dodo became extinct like many endemic island animals. It was last reported about 1662 and was recognized as one of the first animals found to be driven to extinction by human action. The Dodo also figured prominently in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Stamped image is shown. Watermark copyright is not on the stamp you will receive. 100% made in the USA.
