The American Paddlefish (Polyodon spathula) is one of North America’s largest freshwater fishes and also one of the strangest growing to weighs of up to 60 pounds. The paddlefish lives in the waters of the Mississippi River system and uses it odd shaped mouth to filter feed from the water. Featuring artwork by April Pedersen. Stamped image is shown.
