Tetramorph angels painted appeared early in illuminated works of the Gospels. The composite creature could represent many things with it’s four parts of human, lion, ox and eagle. The most common association with the four Evangelists Matthew the Man, Mark the Lion, Luke the Ox, and John the Eagle. Actual stamped image is shown.
